When Mice Fly
Written by madBADcat · November 30, 2007

I have had my new Imac less than 2 weeks. I love the damn thing, so I was really upset when the mouse started flying across the screen for absolutely no reason. I couldn’t think of anything more to do than I had already done. I searched, googled, yahoo’ed to no avail. I called Applecare. I wasn’t happy. Who knew mouse "scaling" is stored in PRAM?
Webmaster’s Note: Follow this link for instructions to reset the PRAM.
I ran across the Flying Pig Co UK during one of my many searches (search words: flying mouse across screen). I am always impressed with down-to-earth ingenuity. If it has a sense of humor too, I am just besotted. So I just had to download the freebies and play with the patterns. It is truly the coolest thing you can do with cardstock. I can see parents and teachers using this stuff as way to teach children basic mechanics. Leaves me speechless with glee!

The Logic Goats are a must-have for any self-respecting coder. http://www.flying-pig.co.uk/pagesv/logicgoat.html For the Engineer in your life, try the Cardboard Turbine http://www.flying-pig.co.uk/pagesv/turbine.html
Me? I buy sheep for Oxfam instead of Xmas gifts so my Xmas card will have to incorporate the Agreeable Sheep. Most are under $10. It’s less than a movie and more entertaining. http://www.flying-pig.co.uk/ The resetting of the pram grounded my mouse, at least temporarily. I’ll keep you posted if mice fly again.
